- Aug. 2-The 3rd Annual Zydeco King & Queen Ball. Opelousas. North Park Teen Center, 1524 S. Market St. The Southern Development Foundation in Opelousas presents the Ball as a Cultural event to experience. King & Queen chosen to reign over Southwest Zydeco Festival.
