Stray Cat Problem in St. Landry     KLFY TV 10

The St. Landry Animal Center received some 120 cats during the first few weeks of June.  They tell us space is their biggest problem as all of their kennels are full.

To meet their growing needs they are planning to expand by building at least 30 more kennels behind the current center.

The animal center tells us they've been receiving between 20 and 25 calls every day about adoption.  They tell us they're glad the phones have been ringing because every animal that gets adopted is one less they have to put down.

If you are interested in adopting an animal you can stop by the Saint Landry Parish Animal Center Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm or you can call 948-6184.
